Health Facts Of Broccoli

Broccoli is the famous enemy of George Bush Sr. and children world wide, and when you were younger, there is a good chance that you despised the taste of this awesome green vegetable, but were still made to eat it. Hopefully by now, you either developed a taste for broccoli or have always like it, because it is loaded with all things healthy.

To begin with, broccoli like carrots, is full of a good source of beta-carotene in the form of vitamin A, and like many other fruits and vegetables, it also has a good dose of vitamin C.

For those of you who are not in the habit of drinking milk, are lactose intolerant, or choose to not make dairy products a part of your daily diet, broccoli can come to your aid, as it is a good way to get a decent amount of calcium. Broccoli also contains magnesium, which is good for the heart, the bones, fatigue, and works to help with a relaxing body.

Broccoli is also good for heart disease, and since it contains a lot of dietery fiber - is also great for the digestive system, and can help with passing stool if you are constipated.
